Toronto, Canada - Mission Trip 2004
Our Neighbors To The North...
Canada is so similar to the U.S. that sometimes you forget
you are in a foreign country. There are also moments
when you wonder where in God's good creation you are?
Toronto is the multicultural capitol of the world, and is
often used as a stand-in for New York in films because of
its specific urban feel. Plus, we couldn't find any
Canadian bacon anywhere? What's up with that?
Here's some photo highlights from our mission trip to
Toronto last July. Some of the pictures are pretty
self-explanatory while, you might need to ask a first hand
source for the scoop on a few of the others.
Here's a list of the fine young people who came on this
amazing trip:
Mackenzie Flaharty
Lisa Hansen
Tyler Hansen
Ellisa Larson
Joanna Lipp
Kirk McCamish
Andrea McHenry
Marcus Meldahl
Jenny Scuglik
Jenn Grahmn
Paul Hannan

Leaving, driving, a flat, driving, more driving,
and getting there.
Sleep is for the weak... let's get to work.

A definite highlight was our SLAP walk.
Street Life Awareness Program
One of the most enjoyable things about Toronto was the
many different ways we got around. We parked the vans
when we got there and rarely used them (which after a 20
hour drive was probably good).
Instead we used the city's many other modes of
transportation. One of the area's that Canada is more
advanced than use is in public transportation, and a city
the size of Toronto had more than its fair share. Here are
some of the ways we did locomotion:
