Good Earth Village - 2004
Day Camp!
Every year we bring a bit of Good Earth Village right
here to Good Shepherd for a week of games, camp
songs, arts & crafts, Bible study, and all sorts of other
forms of fun under the sun.

Next year's Day Camp will be during a week in June.
Camp starts at 9am and goes until 3pm, except on
Friday when we finish at noon (after some soul-soaking
water games like Drip, Drip, Splash and some runs
down the Waterslide:).

If you look around on this page you'll find some pictures
from last year's day camp that might give you an idea of
what sort of fun we do have.  Don't miss out on Day
Camp this year.  Call the office for registration
information.  289-1748.
Can You Spot The GSC People At GEV?
What are you doing for Summer Camp?
There are so many ways to have the time of your life at
Good Earth Village.  Come and be a part of this life
changing place.  Below are some of the programs
available for different age groups.
Trailblazers - completed grades 1 & 2
This 24 hour camp experience, formerly Jr.
Pathfinders, during which campers stay in our
Log Lodge with 5 cabin mates and one of our
college age counselors.

Settlers - completed grades 2 & 3
This is a three day, two night program. Lodging
will be in our Log Lodge retreat center with 5
cabin mates and one of our staff.

Pathfinders - completed grades 3 & 4
This week long program begins on Sunday
afternoon and runs until Friday afternoon.
Housing is in our Hilltop cabins near the main
lodge and shower house and all meals are
prepared by our camp kitchen, with the
exception of a mid-week cook out.

Pioneers - completed grades 5 & 6
Pioneers enjoy a more rustic camping
experience, including no electricity and
outhouses.  Over the course of the week cabin
groups work together to prepare five meals over
an open fire.

Explorers - completed grades 7 - 9
A community experience in a rustic setting.
Explorers stay in covered wagons and prepare
seven of their meals over an open fire.

Outpost - completed grades 8 & 9
Outpost is the most rustic of the on-site
programs. Ten campers and two staff members
set up their own tent camp site on the property,
creating their own camp community. All meals
are packed out and prepared by the group. This
program has a more relaxed schedule with the
group determining daily activities.

Staff-In-Training - completed grades 10 - 12
This is a three week leadership training program.
One week of the program is spent learning what
it means to be a camp staff person. Topics
covered include leading Bible Studies, worship
planning and leading, game leading, how to cook
over the fire, devotion planning, and how to
work with campers. SITs are then welcome to
spend two more weeks during the summer
serving as a junior counselor with a group of
campers. The week of training is required for
this program.  Training week is June 12-17.
